Legend has it that Al Capone would come and stay at this lodge and duck hunt the property and take those ducks back to Chicago! The lodge is still here, it has been well taken care of and updated, and the land has been improved for holding and shooting ducks! This is a 776 acre property +- of wetlands, levied-planted ponds, mature timber and thick buck brush located in Cass County between the Illinois river and the Sangamon river, which is the central flyway, but what makes the duck hunting really good is the approximately 35 acres of corn and sorghum that has been flooded! The waterfowl hunting is great, but this is West Central Illinois, and all that food and cover combined with Illinois genetics, makes it an awesome deer hunting property
