The story began 43 years ago, back in ’73.  A U.S. Air Force officer, just out of the Vietnam War, found Poso Creek Ranch, comprising +/-160 acre inholding within the Rio Grande National Forest, tucked away, about a mile behind Poso Mountain.  He couldn’t afford the property by himself, so he called on a few fellow officers and friends to share in his vision and join in the purchase.  To secure a place for their families, surrounded by millions of acres of forest, Poso Creek Ranch ultimately came to be owned by 14 shareholders.  They camped in the early years, then pooled their resources and a custom cabin was finished in 1997, powered by solar with backup generator and propane.  Thus the legacy of Poso Creek Ranch was created.  Over 40 yea
