Of the 105 counties in Kansas, Miami and Sedgwick counties had the most land and acreage for sale. There were 5,447 acres of sold land in Kansas recorded in April 2019 through the Lands of America sales program. This reflects an increase in sales activity over data from the previous month. The most land sales in the state last month were recorded in Elk County. In terms of its size, Kansas is the country's 15th-largest state, covering an area of 82,282 square miles (53 million acres). Wildlife species to be found on land for sale in Kansas include turkey, whitetail deer, quail, dove, pheasant, ducks, and geese. Fishermen have their choice of catfish and bass.
