This reflects a 60 percent decrease in sales activity over the previous month, with a combined land value of $5 million for all property and land sold in the state. Catahoula and Rapides Parish recorded the most land sales recently in the state. In terms of its size, Louisiana is the country's 31st-largest state, covering an area of 51,843 square miles (33 million acres). Game species to be found on land for sale in Louisiana include whitetail deer, turkey, ducks, dove, and hog. Anglers can enjoy casting for catfish and bass.
