Thirty-three wildlife management areas cover almost a million acres of land in Washington and offer hunters access to game species including waterfowl, grouse, pheasant, elk, and wild turkey. Lewis County saw the most land sales recently in the state. In terms of its size, Washington is the country's 18th-largest state, covering an area of 71,303 square miles (46 million acres). Game species to be found on land for sale in Washington include elk, grouse, bear, mule deer, turkey, whitetail deer, geese, ducks, moose, and quail. Fishermen can enjoy casting for trout, salmon, walleye, bass, and pike.
